5 Schlafzimmer Kabine in Georgian Bay, Port Severn
Recently renovated, new kitchen, bathrooms (not master), floors. If you want a active holiday, this place is for you! Swim, kayak, volleyball, basketball in the summer. 65 acres to run, hike, bike, cross country ski! Secluded and quiet yet fun and active. The view: outstanding!
Very important: Please do not inquire about renting in July or August for less than 7 days.
We don't rent it for less time.

The space
In all seasons there are so many fun things to do. We love it in the summer - beach volleyball, basketball, mini-tennis, trampolining, catching frogs, playing in the sand, hanging on the dock, swimming, going for a run and on and on.
Fall is great for walks in the forest to enjoy the colours.
Winter is fantastic for the ice skating on the bay, tobogganing, cross country skiing, snow mobiling. Hot chocolate afterward.
Note: this is not a super high luxury cottage. There are not granite counter tops and high end amenities. I say all this so that you know not to expect something different. Having said, we love our cottage and think you will too!
Also, We live on a great bay with wonderful neighbors. We have had issues in the past with renters playing loud music from the dock or from the cottage.
We expect that you will not be playing music on the dock or loudly from the cottage. So if this is something you are interested in doing, please rent somewhere else.

There are plenty of cottage towns to visit with weekend farmers markets (Bala, Port Carling among our favourites) and good restaurants when you decide you want a break from cooking.
The best is Coffee Cabin in Port Severn. Outstanding coffee and food. 10 minutes away. If you have a boat, you can go there by water.
Other things to note
Please note: during the busy season between July 3rd and August we only rent for a minimum of 7 nights. Also, there is a 3 night minimum for long weekends at other times of the year. Thank you.
In terms of bedroom sleeping configurations, here is what we have:
One bedroom (the master) with a King (and ensuite)
Second floor bedroom with a queen
Second floor bedroom with a queen and a single
Loft bedroom with a king, queen, and a single.
We also have a finished ‘walkout’ basement (walkout meaning it is fully above ground, though there is not an actual walkout door; hope that makes sense) with one double bed and one single bed. We use it all year round but we don’t normally mention this because some people have mentioned it feels mildewy in the summer; we have dehumidifiers running.
Finally, there is a gas barbecue.
Please note: you are responsible for disposing of your garbage. Seven minute drive away, near the highway, is the Baxter transfer station. It is easy to get to you as you leave. If garbage is left we charge $300 for disposal.
